Lessons begin on Monday 20th January 2025 and continue weekly until Saturday 20th December 2025, excluding the following dates:

• Anzac Day Holiday, Friday 25th - Saturday 26th April

*Please note lessons do continue through the school holidays.

CONCERTS

Open to all We Are Loud students of any instrument, age or level, participation in our concerts is always free of charge.

• Term One Concert - Sunday 6th April

• Term Two Concert - Sunday 15th June

• Term Three Concert - Sunday 14th September

• End of Year Concert - Sunday 7th December (TBC)

*exact times TBC, concerts will be held in the afternoon.

THE BAND PROJECT

Open to all students and our wider community. Students learn one song from a list of band songs, at the end of each term join a band with other students playing the same song. They will rehearse on the following dates, and perform their band song in the end of term concert. The concert band programme is $30 per term.

• Term Two Rehearsals - Sunday 8th June

• Term Three Rehearsals - Sunday 7th September

• Term Four Rehearsals - Sunday 30th November (TBC)

All workshops run from 10am-2.30pm, charged at $80/day.

LESSON CANCELLATIONS & MAKEUPS

Lesson cancellations with over 24 hours notice - email your teacher & cc jo@weareloud.co.nz or text 027 470 7042.

One make-up lesson per 12 weeks (school term) will be offered for private lessons missed due to student illness, provided the teacher is given reasonable notice (more than 6 hours before lesson start time). Additional makeup lessons may also be issued at your teachers discretion and on an individual basis.

• Makeup lessons will not be issued for any lessons cancelled within six hours of the lesson start time.

• Makeup lessons may be issued for private lessons only, cancellations for group lessons will not receive makeup credits.​

• Makeup lessons may be booked in with your teacher at a mutually agreed time.

• All other cancellations and missed lessons will not be rescheduled and will incur the full fee.

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO LESSONS IF YOU'RE SICK! We will be happy to move your private lesson online, and send over virtual lesson resources for group classes.

LESSON PAYMENTS

We have developed our billing system in a way that we hope affords complete transparency. You will always be sent an invoice from Xero, which triggers an automatic payment from our GoCardless system. Please make sure you’re setup with our system via this link: www.weareloud.co.nz/payment

Aside from the summer break, we teach during the school holidays throughout the year, and we do not open on public holidays. Every individual student’s timetable is considered when your billing is set up, and public holidays are never billed, regardless of which plan you are on.

 

Weekly and fortnightly plans: your payment plan will track with your lesson calendar from week to week and fortnight to fortnight. If there are public holidays during that period, your bill will be less than usual to account for this.

 

Monthly plans: your overall lesson fees for 2025 will be totalled up, accounting for any public holidays that fall on your usual lesson day, and then that total will be divided equally into a fixed amount that will be billed consecutively, once a month, for the remainder of the year.

LESSON MATERIALS

Lesson books are available for beginner piano, beginner guitar & beginner ukulele lessons. Your teacher can either email a free pdf version to you, or you can buy a physical hard-copy in the studio for $10. We also have tab notebooks available for drum, bass and guitar lessons.

INSTRUMENT RENTALS

Keyboard & Acoustic Guitar Rental - $10/week - please email jo@weareloud.co.nz to arrange this.
